Sportz Village is proud to present the #SportForChange #PlayMaker 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝐅𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (ASK Asset & Wealth Management) for their #SportForChange program in Mokhada, Palghar District, Maharashtra. Our structured in-school sports education program (2022 to 2024), aimed at fostering self-reliance & social progress, with a focus on health, emotional well-being, and a vibrant sports ecosystem. This program also exemplified a successful sustainable model through strategic selection and training of local youth for leading the program, ensuring long-term success. Currently, the community-driven program continues to thrive and has fostered a strong sense of pride and ownership among the members of the community. In 2024, our #SportForChange program has expanded to 2 schools in Akole, touching the lives of more than 500 children. Congratulations to Siddhartha Iyer, Senior Manager, CSR, for receiving this award in recognition of ASK Asset & Wealth Management, at the Mumbai Edition of Get Kids To Play Summit. Get Kids To Play Summit - we believe - shall serve as a springboard for change, for having sparked meaningful conversations and inspiring collaborative solutions to address the need for play in children’s lives!  𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝: • Balancing sports and academics by fostering support from parents and educators. • Creating a nationwide culture of play, where sports is an integral part of every child’s life. • Encouraging female participation and addressing barriers girls face in sports. • Strengthening grassroots and school sports as a foundation for nurturing talent. • Empowering parents to navigate their child’s sports journey effectively. • Bringing more coaches into the system to make sports accessible. • Exploring the role of CSR donors and brands in driving lasting social change through sports. The most memorable conversations came from the children themselves, who shared heartfelt stories about how playing sports transformed their physical, emotional, mental, and academic growth. The event concluded with the #Playmaker Awards, honoring individuals and organizations who have championed the cause of getting kids to play. On November 27th, we successfully concluded the Sportz Village Get Kids To Play Summit, Chennai Edition - a unique blend of school leaders, parents, corporates, philanthropists, and policymakers, exploring answers to: How can we get kids to play? The nuanced conversations not only highlighted existing gaps but also proposed actionable solutions to bridge them by building a narrative for getting kids to play with a key focus on factors affecting the same, like balancing sports and academics with the support of teachers and parents, embracing a culture of health and fitness, boosting female participation in sports through focused excellence pathways, funding and supporting an athlete’s journey from grassroot to elite, the crucial role of media in driving resources to the bottom of the pyramid, and the corporate powerplay in driving social change, to name a few.
