BeamXR, a Creative Tech (creatch) company based in Newcastle, has secured significant funding to further develop its revolutionary streaming Software Development Kit (SDK) for XR headsets. Among the investments is £150k from Creative UK's North East Culture and Creative Investment Programme (CCIP). This pioneering SDK allows developers and content creators to effortlessly stream on platforms such as Twitch, TikTok, and YouTube, opening up fresh social and creative possibilities in the VR gaming world. We're proud to support Sounds Good Audiobooks – New Writing North and Hachette UK's dedicated new audiobook recording studio based at Northumbria University. Sounds Good Audiobooks will create new industry opportunities for narrators, students, writers, publishers, actors, sound technicians and more, building up the creative infrastructure of the North. Production is already underway on lots of exciting audiobooks – the first of which is Barrowbeck, a suspenseful Northern-set folk-horror novel by award-winning author Andrew Michael Hurley.
