Across the country, many districts are experiencing how excessive heat creates unhealthy schoolyard conditions, sometimes leading to the cancellation of recess or outdoor activities. The Center for Green Schools gathered 20 school capital planning and sustainability staff as well as partners for a coffee meet up at Greenbuild Conference in Philly last week. These opportunities to connect with peers and share best practices are limited, and we appreciate the support from Stantec and Shaw Contract, who helped make the event possible.
