Our biosolutions in action in Brazil! Products like Presence™ Full bionematicide, Provilar™ biofungicide, and our new Ataplan™ biofungicide demonstrate their impressive impact in soybean trials across Matto Grosso province. We see better plant growth—improved plant height and density, as well as increased root growth and nodulation for nitrogen fixation. Delivering high performance while supporting sustainable agriculture! Working with UNICAMPO cooperative member. At FMC Corporation, we go all in when introducing new biosolutions—like our recent launch of Catulia™ bionematicide in the Philippines shown here. The Philippines is one of the world’s leading banana exporters, but nematodes pose a major challenge to growers by damaging the root systems that deliver essential nutrients to the plants. Catulia™ bionematicide is a microbial solution that provides banana growers with a biological tool to protect plant roots and support soil health, contributing to more sustainable and resilient production. Thank you to our team in the Philippines for this Catuliamazing launch! #bionematicides #biocontrol #BiologicalsbyFMC #FMClaunch

Soil degradation is a growing challenge affecting agricultural regions worldwide, impacting food security and the livelihoods of many people. One tool in growers' soil health toolbox is biostimulants. By aiding in improving soil structure, increasing water retention, promoting root development, and supporting beneficial microbial activity, biostimulants contribute to more resilient and fertile soils, essential for long-term productivity and sustainability in agriculture. FMC’s award-winning biostimulant portfolio combines a range of active ingredients, from seaweed extracts and humic acids to bacteria with symbiotic benefits to plants, providing growers with science-backed solutions to improve soil health. #WorldSoilDay #SoilHealth #BiologicalsbyFMC

This week, we had the pleasure of hosting representatives from Brazil’s Cooperativa Agrária Agroindustrial (Alfred Stoetzer and Vitor Spader) at our European Innovation Center in Denmark. Together with Alexandre Hornemann, Commercial Advisor, Food & Agriculture at The Trade Council of Denmark in Latin America, they explored our R&D in plant health and biologicals like microbials and pheromones. Agrária, one of Brazil’s top agro-industrial cooperatives, operates in a country that is at the forefront of adopting biological solutions in agriculture. Sharing insights on biosolutions and their use now and into the future is therefore very valuable. Moments like these drive us all forward. Thank you to Agrária for your visit, and for contributing to shaping the future of sustainable agriculture! Thank you to our teams in Brazil and Denmark for organizing the visit! #KnowledgeSharing #FarmToFuture #BiologicalsbyFMC Burghard Liebmann, Belén Cotes, Leonardo Antolini, Alexandre Frateschi, Emmanouil Chantzis, Ole Sjøholm, Damiano Lironi, Meilee Ling

Thanksgiving, an American tradition, is deeply rooted in farming and agriculture. Yet, the spirit of gratitude it embodies is universal—nearly every culture around the world marks the harvest season with celebrations and rituals, honoring the abundance of food and humanity’s connection to the land. While these traditions vary, they all reflect a shared appreciation for the bounty of nature. As we look to the future, biological solutions are leading the way in agriculture, offering farmers sustainable, innovative tools to protect their crops and secure abundant harvests for generations to come. Happy Thanksgiving! #Thanksgiving #BiologicalsbyFMC #SolutionsforthePlanet

It’s fantastic to see the roll-out of innovative products like Catulia™ bionematicide, now empowering banana growers in the Philippines to safeguard their crops from nematodes. As a biologically based solution, Catulia™ offers a strong safety profile—benefiting growers, consumers, and the environment. #bionematicides #biocontrol #BiologicalsbyFMC
We celebrate FMC Philippines on successfully launching CatuliaTM - the first ever biological nematicide to be introduced to the Philippine banana industry. Philippines has one of the most vulnerable agricultural systems to monsoons and other extreme weather events, which create uncertainty for farmers as climate change affects the country. As a science-based company that invests heavily in R&D, we work hard to discover new ways of safeguarding crops from the havoc that weather can wreak. Any company can claim that they're passionate about the power of science to solve agriculture's biggest challenges. Yet very few companies can firmly say that they will provide farmers with new technologies that are capable of increasing yields or increasing the resilience of their fields. This is FMC’s purpose – discovering and developing innovative technologies that will help farmers to solve their problems. Philippines is one of the top exporters of bananas globally. And one of the biggest challenges in banana production are nematodes, especially burrowing nematode, reniform nematode, spiral nematode, and root-know nematode. These nematodes ruin the anchorage of the plant, thereby impacting the growth of the roots that supplement nutrients for the plant. CatuliaTM bionematicide, FMC’s innovative new microbial product, features a unique mode of action to protect the roots of banana and improve soil health, and it is the answer to banana growers’ call for safer options to control nematodes. Congratulations, FMC Philippines, for bringing this advanced bionematicide to banana plantations in the country! #FMC #FMCAsiaPacific #FMCPhillippines #NewLaunch Simon McMunn Veronica T. Our Global Plant Health R&D team made a strong impact at last week’s Plant Biologicals Network Symposium 2024, sharing research and insights on biosolutions: Emmanouil Chantzis, FMC Biofungicides Discovery, Team Lead, presented part of his PhD research on “Secondary Metabolites of Pseudomonas protegens and Their Role in Biocontrol of Fusarium Head Blight,” guided by Lars Jelsbak, Professor at DTU - Technical University of Denmark (picture top left). Belén Cotes, FMC Bioinsecticides Discovery, Team Lead, chaired a session on European regulation of microbial biopesticides and biostimulants, sparking valuable discussions on policy and innovation. A poster on the Smart Agricultural Biologicals Screening (SABS) collaboration between FMC and DTU (https://lnkd.in/dMMRe_iM) was presented by Niels Bjerg Jensen, DTU project leader, with contributions from FMC team members Karolina Subko, FMC Analytical Research Scientist, and Belén Cotes (picture bottom right). Hosted by the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet) in Denmark, the event highlights our commitment to innovation and novel biological solutions that further sustainable agriculture. #BiologicalsbyFMC #PlantHealth #KnowledgeSharing
