We want to make it dramatically easier for customers to secure the care they need to get and stay healthy. One way we’re doing this is by providing customers with care options that work best for them and their life. Today, we’re changing the name of Amazon Clinic to Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit, and improving it by making pay-per-visit pricing even more affordable and reducing the number of steps it takes to start a visit on Amazon.com/health or the Amazon app. Customers now have two options to get care from Amazon One Medical — the same Membership that One Medical members know and love today, including on-demand virtual care, easy booking of same and next-day appointments at One Medical offices, and a differentiated primary care experience, or Pay-per-visit telehealth for 30+ common conditions (like pink eye, the flu, or sinus infection). We talk a lot about meeting patients where they are. We mean that physically – being in places that are easy for patients to access, and we mean that psychologically – fitting into a patient’s framework and daily life. At Amazon, this fits with our customer obsessed DNA. When given a choice between a convenient or an inconvenient option, customers will almost always choose the convenient one. If we want people to engage in healthcare, we need to make it convenient – it needs to be easy, accessible, and affordable – and we need to meet patients where they are. That’s what we aim to do at Amazon Health. We started with Amazon Pharmacy, to make it easy and affordable to get medications delivered right to your doorstep. Amazon Clinic helps you get quick, on-demand virtual care for many common conditions, and One Medical delivers consistent access to empathic primary care. Now with your Amazon app – the same app you regularly use to order your books or groceries – there’s a pharmacy and doctor in your pocket at all times. For many people, the pandemic was the first time they used virtual care – but the true unlock has been how the virtual experience integrates with the physical experience. Journeys that start physical, then become digital – and vice versa. Going forward, we won’t be talking about virtual care as a siloed solution, because it will be a key and expected component of the patient experience – the same way that credit card processing and home delivery are the norm in e-commerce. I had a lot of fun joining Nancy G. Brown, Adrian Aoun, Deborah Di Sanzo, and Oliver Kharraz, MD at ViVE to discuss the evolving landscape of health care delivery and access. #ViVE #VirtualCare #HealthcareInnovation

Woke up with a sore throat or flu-like symptoms? Amazon Clinic has you covered with fast and super affordable care access.
“When should you see a primary care provider or seek urgent care?” This was the prompt of a medical segment we were fortunate to do this week for the Today Show. And in preparing for it, it’s never been more clear that our services at Amazon Health are driving clarity to this important question. Woke up with a sore throat or flu-like symptoms? Amazon Clinic has you covered with near immediate and super affordable care access. (virtualcare.amazon.com) Want to establish care for longer-term care needs like cancer screening or management of a chronic condition like emphysema? One Medical covers it all and extremely well. (onemedical.com) And in either case, a better pharmacy experience that patients have long deserved is an option at Amazon Pharmacy, which now offers same-day medication delivery speed in more parts of the country with a priority on 24/7 access to clinical pharmacist expertise and upfront pricing. (pharmacy.amazon.com) Clear offerings, clear communication, clinically excellent care. Very proud to be a part of this team 👍🏼
