You Are Not For Sale

You Are Not For Sale

I often talk about the emotions people have about money. I heard a great quote the other day ‘Some of you are addicted to income’… I had a light bulb moment on the weekend. You see, many of us grew up in an environment where our achievements were celebrated, first through school with the good marks then in the workforce… you know when you gained that ‘Manager’ title you were suddenly someone in others eyes, and then the big money started rolling in and in some instances going out just as fast to build the social status.

As such we subconsciously created this story that who we are and what we are worth has something to do with money. This is then aggregated by messages like ‘Get paid what you are worth’… No wonder a lot of people are out there working their arses of to make more dough and in the mean time they are disillusioned and annoyed because the chase to be approved, to be someone to be worthy is relentless.

What you need to know is: You are not your career or your business. Your worth doesn’t depend on how much you earn! Your real you is this spirit within that doesn’t need others approval, it only needs yours! It doesn’t need more achievements, it needs your acceptance, it needs you to be true to you.

So start making the money what your services are worth! Separate your prices from you.

YOU ARE not for sale! You are priceless.
