You Got This!

I see so many bookkeepers out there that have a lack of confidence in not only themselves, but their ability to do the work that they have either trained for years to do or are still learning. If someone is still learning something, then that is an opportunity to take and absorb information from every opportunity given. Remember, that there is so much to learn within our field that you will never learn everything there is to know before you begin. Now, I am not saying that you should go into the field blind! I fully expect that anyone who begins a bookkeeping business should have an understanding of accounting and bookkeeping before you begin your business. 

But the understanding of bookkeeping and the confidence of completing everything from beginning to end are two separate things altogether.Do not let the fear of not knowing what you are doing stop you from going out there and gaining that first client. You have gone through the process of learning your software, whether that software is Xero or Quickbooks, or even both! You have practiced in the demo company to gain knowledge of how each of these platforms work. You are ready to take on a real client. Don’t over think the process. You can do this.

The one thing that you may lack is that ability to find those clients. You are unsure of where to find them. You have been out there searching in different places throughout Facebook and making connections on LinkedIn. But you just can’t seem to find any clients. It is not impossible! You might need a little help, because it is not always as easy as it seems. That is where I come in.
