Why I do what I do for a living...

For most of my career I was always focused on doing things that benefited myself as far as my reputation, making money and being able to live the life that I thought that I wanted.

Little did I know that it was all bullshit and what I thought would fulfill me, didn't!

I figured out years ago that what really gets me excited is helping others achieve their business dreams and goals....or at least giving them the opportunity to try.

At first I thought the best way to do this was to invest, but that was too passive for me.

Then I went into more of an Advisory/Mentorship role, but again, too passive.

I tried the Incubator route but found that most of the scenarios were pretty much one sided and I was back to being the "money guy".

And then one day it just clicked.

For me to not feel like I'm just the money guy and still be able to give advice and guidance, I'd incorporate my Venture Builder model for those Rookies and underdogs who were just out there looking for an opportunity to jump into something that they were absolutely unqualified for but still had the gumption to dive right in because what other options do they really have.

This is why I love working with the rookies who are focused on an industry but don't really know exactly what they want to do in that industry.

This way, I can make them a Co-Founder of a project that is already teed up for them and with my guidance and capital we can go do great things together. They get the opportunity to learn and make some money and I get my fulfillment fix.

This is why I only take on projects that have a purpose behind them. It's much easier to sell the opportunity to Rookies when they believe in the mission and can learn what they need to know along the way.
