Which Aussie suburbs have the highest demand for tradies?

The New Year always offers a fresh start. A time to reset from the prior year and set goals for the months ahead. For many of our tradie customers, that means continuing to capitalise on the renovation boom from 2021 which is in fact still booming. 

On our platform alone we are experiencing a high and, in many cases, record volume of job leads for big ticket renovations and new builds through to smaller repair, cleaning, and removal jobs and everything in between. There are fantastic opportunities for our tradie customers to snap up quality leads on @hipages, building a steady pipeline of work for 2022. 

A key benefit for our tradie customers is the ability to secure local jobs with hipages. You can set the size of the area you want to service to choose more jobs closer to home, reducing travel time and effort. Or, you could expand your service area to take advantage of homeowner demand. 

In reviewing our recent  data*, we can see which suburbs across the states have the highest demand for tradies and therefore have more jobs for the taking. If these suburbs aren’t currently in your service area, consider expanding your remit to take advantage of additional job opportunities to suit your schedule of projects in 2022.

At hipages, there is a job posted every 20 seconds on average, which means our tradies spend less time searching for new customers. Job leads are sent straight to your phone via the hipages app making it even easier to accept jobs, chat with customers and send quotes.

With strong demand for tradies nationally, we also reviewed which trade categories had the highest demand on hipages. Handyman was the top category, with homeowners requiring a skilled tradesperson for a variety of odd jobs around the home following Christmas and school holidays. This was followed by plumbers, electricians, fencers, and painters rounding out the top five. 

These spikes in demand across the states and across trade categories demonstrate the huge potential for trade businesses to effectively utilise our platform to grow their businesses in 2022.
