Growing the North East economy

We (Wubbleyou) recently became members of Dynamo North East and the Entrepreneurs' Forum as both organisations align with our objectives of celebrating businesses in the North East of England and growing the regional economy.

Some LinkedIn posts you might enjoy:

• I think people have a warped view of AI and job replacement, and it is clouding judgement.

• Did I trick Virgin Media AI into contractually owing me 2 Greggs sausage rolls a week? Yep - I think so!

• People think not innovating just means treading water but it's worse. It's like swimming - treading water still requires energy, so if you're not putting energy into progress, you're sinking!

• When I was 14, I wrote terrible software that thousands of people used. I made a plugin for MSN Messenger. Now we make great software that millions of people use. It made me realise the importance of one thing: Knowing the art of what is possible is very important, then innovating with that information.

• In order to scale, B2B service businesses need to think 'how do I decouple time for money and think value for money?'

• I was sweating, fight or flight response. "Do I want to make international news for hacking?" It was 2013 in our tiny Wubbleyou office. The day before, I had tweeted journalists from the BBC and Ars Technica: 'RE: LGTV - This may interest you... (Proof that LG TVs were spying on us through our home routers)...

• One key to unlock high scale? Bring tech products to market in your niche. Here is how you do this as a B2B service business...

• How do you build a tech product with 2 sets of customer? It's a chicken and egg problem... in a digital / online marketplace, which set of customers do you acquire first?

• Multi-skilling with one core strength creates super powers & it's not an active strategy I see in people. Why? The chasm of skill, ability & results created between someone in the top 1% & top 0.1% at any one thing is probably a factor of 100.
