What to Study to Become an Automation Engineer?
After you understand what automation is, you need to decide what specifically you would like to learn and do. You can not be a master at every spec. So you need to decide do you do programming, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering.
Within these categories, you can narrow them down even further. Robot programmer, PLC programmer, HMI developer, etc. Choosing a path and studying that topic would be the best place to start. Also, make sure to have a good overview of what an automation system is and looks like as well as the types of components that are involved with a system.
