What does it mean to build the data workforce?

I have dedicated my career to pursuing data and teaching others. I know that in our community we must adopt training and apprenticeship. We can start from the ground up, building people with the skills required to meet the current and future demands. We are training not only data analysts – we are training critical data skills that impact the workforce.

Estimates suggest the pandemic advanced 10 years of planned technological change in the workplace in less than one year. https://www.nga.org/publications/lessons-learned-in-workforce-innovation-how-six-states-are-planning-to-advance-digital-skills-for-equitable-economic-participation/

With the technical changes that have already occurred in the last twenty years of my career and the fact that tech has advanced so much – we can no longer afford to wait on people to google/YouTube themselves into technical careers. ThinkData has spent a year preparing our model to gain funding and access for people to change their lives or start their careers.

Job skill sets have changed by around 25% since 2015. https://www.linkedin.com/business/learning/blog/top-skills-and-courses/learn-top-skills-to-future-proof-your-career

ThinkData Solutions – we believe this means meeting people where they are. We have created innovative programs and scholarships to change our community.

Almost 1 in 3 workers in the US have few to no digital skills. https://nationalskillscoalition.org/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/05-20-2020-NSC-New-Landscape-of-Digital-Literacy.pdf

We have built a comprehensive bootcamp model and apprenticeship that will allow people to gain the necessary skills to be successful in a modern workforce, and for some grow into data professionals that work in data analytics, business intelligence and database administration as well as many other data professions.

We are unsure whether our local community understands what the world at large knows about our speakers for the Main Event, and I would love to ask you to please share these events even if you are unable to attend.

We look forward to sharing more information about apprenticeships and hope you will join us and support us! If you are joining us – tell us and tell others. We need all the support we can get from all our faithful data fans and friends.

PS: We will share the video from Data Fundamentals Unpacked: Build the Data Workforce in the following days. Be on the look out!
