Two Years In-side

My 2nd anniversary at LinkedIn is here and many of the questions and comments in my article 12 months ago are still being worked out, case in point: “Do I mention navigating life in a global pandemic?”

When reflecting on the past 12 months I think of how much I’ve learnt and how grateful I am. Working with and supporting customers who are at the forefront of the ongoing response and management of Covid-19 here in Australia is very rewarding; listening to them and assisting with their hiring and learning needs.

When I sat down to write this update I thought about what I’ve achieved over the last year and what I was most proud of.  On a personal level I’ve completed my InnerMBA and supported Kristina as she launched her side hustle. I’ve been able to spend every day with our two girls (Harper-James and Sadie) - something I’m very thankful for and in years to come I’ll fondly remember.

Earlier this year I received the below email - it was the first thing I thought of when I reflected about what I’m proud of. It clearly demonstrates how I have lived up to the LinkedIn vision of “creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce”

Last year I wrote in my anniversary update that I couldn’t wait to see where the next 12 months take me…Physically it’s not been far at all (a small 5km radius for the past 12+ weeks) however both professionally and personally it’s been the biggest year of learning I’ve ever experienced. Again, a big thank you to all my colleagues and customer partnerships for your support throughout the year that’s been!
