Time to think differently. How you can make employee advocacy happen
Today, for the first time, we are releasing our online course The Employee Advocacy Changemaker.
It’s the only time it will be available in 2021, and I’m very excited to share it with you.
This course will change the way you think about how you create a programme for employee ambassadors; or activate employees to become influential on social media; or increase the trust in your digital marketing through employees sharing.
If you work in social media, digital marketing or internal comms and feel employee advocacy could help your organisation, or you’re frustrated that others within simply don’t get it…
This is the course for you.
To be clear, this is not a course on how to run an employee advocacy programme.
You can find great guides for that online. In fact we have one we are offering as a bonus feature on this course, if you’re interested.
This is not that.
This course will change how you think about your role, so you change how you think about others in your organisation.
It will help you to make your ideas happen.
It will coach you in the skills you need to create and launch a successful employee advocacy programme.
It will help you think differently about the barriers to change: creating a purpose, building support across the business, influencing employee behaviour; creating compelling stories backed with data to sell to the C-suite.
It will help you develop your own resilience while driving this change.
The outcome for you in taking this course is you’ll be able to launch a successful employee advocacy programme suited to YOUR organisation with the confidence you need to bring people on side and get people motivated to take part.
Our team of experts will take you through each module. Myself (Andrew Seel) and Caroline Jory lead the course. Caroline and I have launched employee advocacy programmes for John Lewis & Partners, Waitrose, Post Office and Iceland Foods to name a few.
You’ll also have the chance to hear from other changemakers from businesses including QVC and the Post Office.
As from today, you can sign up for The Employee Advocacy Changemaker course for £595+vat with access granted on Tuesday 2 March 2021.
We’ve put changemakers like you at the heart of our course.
So you can develop the skills you need to be an effective catalyst for change in your organisation, learn how to bring people on board with your idea, and how to use behavioural change techniques to keep advocates motivated.
Brian Solis says that empathy is your superpower. This is what’s going to help you build bridges, break down barriers, bring people together around common goals.
But to do this you need to overcome what’s holding you back from becoming the changemaker you are.
You have the ideas to create change, you can see the opportunity,
But you don’t know how to make it happen.
Perhaps you have self-doubt about the ideas, you fear what others will say, you don’t feel you are political enough to sell it in, you battle with the certainty and ego of others.
Learn how to use empathy
This course will alter how you approach change in your organisation so you can make it happen.
We will get you to think about what is stopping you from making change, what is preventing you getting your ideas to actually happen.
Actionable: How to have an idea and get others onboard with it
Actionable: How to gain influence through storytelling
Actionable: How to turn your ideas into real change.
My experience
I’m not naturally a politician or great at networking.
When I was much younger, my approach to getting my ideas to happen at work was to do them by stealth or sledgehammer them through wherever I could.
If ideas required extensive management approval, they didn’t happen because I lacked the confidence to push them through.
I was often left feeling frustrated.
I learnt over time that by listening to people, finding out what their views and biases were, I could modify my ideas to fit better with what they wanted to achieve.
I altered how I spoke about my ideas to reflect the thoughts and needs of others. I eventually understood that other people did not always immediately get new marketing concepts such as employee advocacy in the way I did.
By being more open to their perspective, I managed to get a better mutual understanding.
The most important thing is, if you don’t know how others feel, if you haven’t listened to them, you will never persuade them to support you or your idea.
If you can learn to do this, you will succeed.

Some questions you may have
Is this a live course or can I fit it around my own schedule?
This is a recorded course so you can listen to it when it suits you. We will release a new module every Tuesday for 6 weeks, starting from 2 March.
What if I have questions as I listen to the course?
If you listen to it and have any questions, you can email us and we’ll collate all the questions and our thoughts and send these round to everyone on Friday of the same week.
Can I access recordings after the 6 weeks?
Yes. You can access these recordings for a year after you enrol. So if you start and need to stop and pick back up, or you want to relisten once you’ve launched your programme and need to focus on a particular area, you can simply login and relisten to the module.
Will there be additional learning materials?
Yes. Each module comes with some learning materials to support you as you move through the programme.
I’m not sure if I have time.
We’re looking to help you be more effective in delivering your ideas which will ultimately save you time.
What if I buy it and don’t see the value?
We are here to help our network and will not be happy unless we provide incredible value. If this course isn’t right for you, we will give you a full refund up to 30 days after purchase date. No questions asked.
We have an employee advocacy programme already - how will this help?
Employee advocacy has changed since it was first integrated into marketing and HR. In all the years we’ve worked with clients on their programmes, we’ve seen many that fail to gather momentum after the initial excitement.
They can be seen as too corporate, too time consuming, too much focus on what’s in it for the business and not for the advocates. This course will help you revitalise existing programmes, as well as coach you in the skills to launch a programme from scratch.
If you want a short overview guide on how to do employee advocacy, we are providing one as a bonus.
We’re not planning employee advocacy at the moment
This could be your opportunity. Now’s the time to learn how to make change happen within your organisation. You can be the difference that makes things progress.
I’m not sure if I’m a changemaker or not
If you’re someone who has ideas for how your company could improve or change then you could be a changemaker. We’re here to help. This course will guide you through the process of how to make those ideas happen. We explain the techniques, tools and tricks to get things moving.
I work for a small company where I’m our only marketing resource.
This course is aimed at larger companies but if you’re striving to get better and find a way to get more of your colleagues to help you with your marketing - you’ll find real value here.
I help people future-proof their careers using social media. Also a best-selling fiction author.
