Striving For Perfection in Your Business

Striving For Perfection in Your Business

Today I’d like to share with you the five-box model I use to represent the workings of a business.

Each of the five boxes represents one of the five functional areas in any generic business - and focusing on improving in each area will help you to perfect your business:

M - Marketing, which is all about attracting new clients, generating leads or inquiries.

S – Sales, which is looking at how you convert those leads into paying customers.

O – Operations, looking at how you deliver the service or product your business sells and meet and exceed the expectations of your customers.

F/A - Finance / Analysis, which is what you do to measure your sales, record your costs, find out where you're making money… and also to make sure you get paid and that you pay your suppliers.

P/T - People and Team, which is assessing what do you do in your business to get the best out of your people, to make sure your team are enthused and working effectively, being trained to the maximum to deliver for the business.

Some questions you might like to ask yourself would be who is responsible for each of these five boxes in your business?... and how would you score your business on a scale of 1 to 10 for each of these categories?

Feel free to message me with your scores and if you'd like to know more about the model, or how it applies to your business, I’d be happy to have a chat.
