Spooky Situations

Spooky Situations

Welcome to our October Newsletter!

With Halloween coming up, we thought it would be fun to include some spooky digital marketing and web design situations you may face with your business and how to stay clear of them!

We share our tips on how to avoid facing those spooky situations!

1. Slow Page Load Speed

The Problem

Slow page load speed negatively impacts user experience. In 2024, a bad website practice is loading time above two seconds.

The Solution

Optimize and compress all the images on your site. Reduce page redirects, and disable or delete outdated or inactive plugins.

2. Too Many Keywords

The Problem

Nobody visiting your site wants to be reading headlines and text clearly written for search engines. Google penalizes keyword stuffing like this.

The Solution

Concentrate on high-quality content, leaving SEO optimization for last. And make headlines relevant and appropriately lead into the copy underneath it.

3. Low-Quality Images

The Problem

Low-quality images and graphics make a company look unprofessional, increase loading time, lower SEO rankings, and negatively impact the user experience.

The Solution

Make sure you re-size image dimensions to reduce blurriness. Use JPEGs for photos or colorful images, PNGs for simple or transparent images, and GIFs only for animations.

4. Being Too Promotional on Social Media

The Problem

As a business, the goal is to promote your services and/or products. However, if you push your products to harshly, or in an awkward way, that can negatively impact your social media presence.

The Solution

Try to find more creative ways to promote your business on your social channels. Share the behind the scenes, memorable moments, and what makes you special. Share your story and why others should tune in.

5. Not Using Social Media Analytics

The Problem

If you are not regularly tracking your company's social media performance, it may be difficult for you to identify what is resonating with your audience, and what is not.

The Solution

Make sure you regularly check your social media platform analytics. There are different tools you can use to help you identify key metrics and helpful statistics.

Our Recent Project: Reiser

New Website for Reiser

Our agency worked with Reiser on the creation of their new website, and we continue as their chosen digital growth parter.

This was a huge project and we'd like to thank Michael Lynch for all of his efforts and dedication, as well as trusting our expert team.

Our Recent Project: Riverbend

Our agency worked with Riverbend (formerly Lowell House) over four months to help them create a new identify.

This process included renaming the organization, designing a new logo and brand, and creating a new website.

Combined, all these elements together help highlight the amazing work that this organization does.

Rebrand: Riverbend

Some of our team members attended the Currents of Change Gala, where Lowell House announced their rebrand to Riverbend.

We were so happy to be there in that moment where this official announcement took place. We saw how excited everyone was about this new chapter, which was so special to us.
