Should a cop killer be released to parole? The court is accepting your comments!

In 1993 Colorado State Trooper Lyle Wohlers was murdered in cold blood by two young men. These killers were convicted. The gunman received life in prison without parole. His accomplice served only 11 years and was released. Trooper Wholers son later served an entire career in law enforcement. Trooper Wohlers wife is active in supporting the law enforcement community.

However, in accordance with Colorado law, the gunman is up for parole. There will be a parole hearing on September 25th at the County Court in Breckenridge Colorado. While not everyone who supports the Wohlers family will be able to attend, the court can accept your comments by US Mail.

You can share your comments with the court on allowing a convicted murderer to be released early on parole.

Send your letter Before September 15th to: Victim Services Coordinator - Twyla Johnson Office of the District Attorney 5th Judicial District PO Box 2000 Georgetown CO 80444

Life without parole should be life without parole. It takes a genuinely evil person to commit cold blooded murder.
