Rev-eling in a year of milestones

Rev-eling in a year of milestones

As we wind down for the holiday season, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on and celebrate the strides we made in 2024.

We launched new technologies

  • VoiceHub: The #1 platform for recording, transcribing, and analyzing interviews, intake calls, meetings, and more-  VoiceHub helps you work smarter. With innovative features like multi-channel capture, AI-powered summaries, and collaborative tools, as well as seamless integrations for meeting platforms like Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet, capturing every word has never been easier.

  • Reverb: Our collection of open-source, highly accurate speech recognition and diarization models trained on an unprecedented 200,000 hours of human-transcribed English speech, Rev has set a new benchmark for accuracy and versatility in speech recognition. Powerful and versatile for anyone working with audio and speech data, these models can be used for everything from transcription and meeting analysis to content creation and assistive technology.

Shared a report about Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR)

  • The State of ASR 2024: Accurate and reliable ASR is more important than ever, transforming traditional fields like legal and media. Research found that Rev surpasses other transcription services on accuracy across diverse situations and use cases—especially in noisy environments - by as much as 60%.

And hit some pretty big numbers

  • 7,232,133,060 minutes transcribed

  • 976,338,963,100 words transcribed

  • 65,826 AI summaries generated on VoiceHub since its launch

  • 115,649 downloads of our mobile app

  • 98,171 questions asked via our AI Assistant

  • 3,629 new features and improvements, including a HIPAA-compliant subscription plan for all enterprise users

We also have some predictions for 2025:

"Next year, law firms will quickly realize that embracing AI—from automated transcription to analyzing intake calls, and more—isn't just about efficiency. Those who master these innovations will attract top talent and shape the future of legal practice."

Brett Pavony, VP of Sales, Rev

“No more sending your data to the Cloud in 2025. Soon, we’ll be seeing high-quality AI models available directly on mobile devices and usable without internet service or a huge server in the background. This will be a boon for legal, law enforcement, and other professions where real-time availability and data security are key.”

Jason Chicola , CEO, Rev

“Right now, using AI in business is often like training a new employee — constantly feeding it context and re-explaining details. That’s about to change. In 2025, we’ll see the emergence of industry-specific large language models (LLMs) that understand the ins and outs of their respective fields.”

Lee Harris , VP of Engineering, Rev

We can’t wait to keep pushing the boundaries of ASR in 2025—until then, have a happy and restful holiday season.

I use rev.com or get my students to use it as it offers a very generous free allowance per month. Reverb offers a choice between different levels of verbatimicity. How could my students and i get access to higher levels of verbatimicity?
