Remembering My Dad on Father's Day

Before my father passed away in February 2016, he emailed me a word document with what was the start of his life story. He wanted the world to hear his story and he was very serious about creating a book about it. 

So, I had a come to terms with this challenge, as I was the one he left it to so that it would be completed. It weighed on my heart and spent hours thinking about how I could possibly take up such a challenge. In that moment I thought about how I would handle this if I was at work and the answer came easy. Get a team together to help! That is what I did; I gathered a great team to help bring this to life. 

In the two years after he died, I worked alongside a great team that helped me compile his official life story, along with recipes, leadership lessons and interviews from those who knew him well. 

Today as I celebrate my father’s life on father’s day I remember all of the good he brought to me and those who knew him. I miss him everyday and his legacy lives on through this book.
