Reflecting on Our Visit to the MultiModal Exhibition: A Personal Account from Paul and Toni of The NetworKings

Last week, Antoniu Serb and I from Industry Connect! events by The NetworKings got to dive into the vibrant Multimodal Exhibition at the NEC - National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham. It was about more than just being there; it was about forging real bonds, discovering fresh ideas, and finding ways to boost our business. Here's a look at our journey and why it felt like a victory.

Reuniting with old friends

Engaging with Purpose

The exhibitors, each with their unique pitch and goals, were at the heart of it all. We set out to really understand their stories and figure out how we could be part of their vision. Our discussions were about finding common ground and exploring partnership opportunities.

Creating Lasting Impressions

We believe that it's the experiences we share that matter more than a pile of business cards. We made sure to document these moments, ready to celebrate their hard work online. It's about backing their efforts and reinforcing the connections we've made.

Networking with Meaning

The opportunity to network didn't end when the exhibition hall doors closed. Staying overnight gave us the chance for more personal conversations, always keeping it professional. We knew these chats could lead to bigger things in the future.

Maintaining Professionalism

The evenings at the exhibition were just as crucial as the daytime. They were moments when casual talks could blossom into solid business relationships. We were conscious of this, ensuring we stayed professional. We wanted to be remembered for our professionalism and the value we bring to the table.

Continuing the Dialogue

A brief chat wasn't enough for us. We made it a point to revisit the same stands the next day, signaling our long-term interest. It was our way of showing we're in it for the long run.

Great times, although not so happy with what the weighing machine told me when I sat on it!

Staying Authentic

We steered clear of any sneaky tactics like hiding others' materials. We focused on sincere, impactful interactions because that's what builds a trustworthy reputation.

The amazing Maersk stand!

Our stint at the MultiModal exhibition was more than just fruitful; it was a leap forward. We left with not just contacts but potential #friends, #leads, and #partners. It's an experience that we, at The NetworKings, will cherish and leverage for our future endeavours.
