Have you looked closely at what title insurance companies are charging home buyers, borrowers, and sellers these days?
As we get busy sometimes these things slip by, in terms of new costs, fees, and pricing across the board and that's exactly what is happening right now. Take a closer look at your CD and you'll notice that title insurance companies are adding in extra fees that once were not there at all. Fees like processing fees, recording processing fees, document retention fees, etc etc. the list goes on and on with these new fees and costs. Not only that but, the closing fee has gone way up as well.
How do I know this? Because, we deal with split title (2 different title insurance companies - 1 covering the home buyer and the other covering the seller) so, we get to see first hand what the other title insurance companies are charging these days. Here at Franklin we have one simple closing fee to close anywhere-anytime in the state of Michigan and well, that's all. If you are truly looking out for the best interest of your clients, I ask you to please, take notice and look closer at all these new fees being charged and do not allow this to happen.
