The One Who Fought Back...
The world is a very big place waiting for one single event to change the tides... Be that change, Rebel.

The One Who Fought Back...

Ever heard of William Wallace?

He was a Scottish villager who witnessed the massacre of his father and brother by a bunch of English soldiers at a very young age.

Later in life the story gets even worse when his girlfriend gets executed right in front of him…

See, in the late 13th century, Scotland was under the tyranny of England.

And the horror and general disregard toward life that the status quo ruled from motivated William to start a Rebellion in hopes of giving freedom back to his people.

To most, he was only a puny villager, yet he gave the English army A DAILY HEADACHE like you wouldn’t believe.

The most famous one being more like a migraine at the battle of the Stirling Bridge.

For context; English knights were highly trained assassins… very dangerous individuals that nobody messed with.

But William knew they were weighed down by their extravagant armor and massive horses.

So he strategically positioned his fellow Rebels around the bridge and waited for the knights to arrive on the Stirling Bridge.

Just as the English were crossing it, the Rebels jumped out and hit them with everything but the kitchen sink, literally.

As William predicted, their abilities were very limited in the narrow bridge and its muddy surroundings.

Simply put, he screwed them bad…

…and put a huge hole in the English empire.

How huge? 5,000 highly trained soldiers huge… And remember, these were the most elite of them all.

Now, with more confidence and vigor than ever before, William began setting up traps and ambushes all over the place…

Whooping the English army left and right.

He faced many setbacks, but never quit and always bounced back.

And was willing to die for his cause which he ultimately proved.

You probably already figured it out but this story may be more familiar to you by the name of Braveheart.

Why did I just tell it to you though?

Because in recent years, everything about sales is turning into tyranny…

The status quo, forcing itself upon you every single day and doing nothing but creating mediocre outcomes and encouraging stagnation in your sales walk.

And it’s up to YOU and me to stand up and make a change.

William knew he was massively outnumbered and had very limited time and resources to develop the right strategies…

So he was forced to be creative.

Rebel… if you’re in sales and you decide to play the numbers game, making 100 dials a day, sending 100 emails a day…

You will lose.

Sure, you might get lucky here and there, sparking a conversation or two…

But you have to realize that big corporations are investing millions of dollars in their outreach programs, sending tens of thousands of messages to your prospects every single day…

Perpetuating the negative stereotypes of sales and making your prospects see you as just another number in the bullpen.

This is why now, more than ever, your creativity matters!

Stop doing the same old garbage that every other boring salesperson is doing...

It only blends you in with the rest and prevents your prospect from saying “YES” when they smell your agenda from a mile away.

It’s time to start giving an experience… your prospect needs it.

Dale - I see a lot of influencer types tout new methods of sales training, or buck the status quo. Part of the attraction is that sales people are the easiest demographic in the world to sell on LinkedIN, hence why I'm here :) But what really is different with your training? Are salespeople using old tactics? Not adapting/evolving? What's the way through? Is lack of creativity truly what fills the gap between prospecting and success? I'm curious to learn more.
