September was an intensive month of testing and learning with our lead generation strategies. We had a record month for sales and this is largely based on our commitment to how hard we've worked over the summer period.

Prospect Labs Growth Hacking Trends

1️⃣ As LinkedIn trends are changing frequently, we are seeing that connection requests with a note are a thing of the past, unless you have actually met the person online or physically. The only people sending connection requests with a note to strangers are sales people and so this is a clear signal to avoid the connection.  📊 Our data backs this up. Empty connection requests are getting a 40-50% acceptance rate while requests containing a message are only 20-30% successful.

2️⃣ We are also learning that cold emailing can get very good results but not as a stand alone strategy. Even if you are setting up separate domains, finding validated emails and getting 60% open rates (which we do for cold outreach), the leads are not there to justify this being an approach to rely on. However, when you start to intertwine LinkedIn outreach with email outreach and add some manual tasks like commenting on posts, then the results can be nothing short of spectacular!

3️⃣ We've been testing new clever approaches here at Prospect Labs, so get ready for some very exciting announcements coming your way next month... In the meantime, keep building your network and speaking to potential customers using phrases such as 'is this something that could help you, would you like more information' and most importantly, make sure that you are speaking to people rather than at them.
