Observations from a car enthusiast/mktg professor

My 3 quick take-aways from my visit to this year's show:

1) Taking experiential marketing to the next level with "Car Coasters"!

2) Electric cars now seamlessly integrated into each brand's lineup.

Porsche Macan (electric)

3) Magnification of promotional partnerships as strategy to differentiate.

We are the biggest vendor there and our sales are so far off my wife said to not even look at last years numbers . Attendance is massively down and it’s not drawing the typical people with money. Not sure if F1 in Vegas the first weekend has caused major damage but first weekend was a mess. The major manufactures need to realize how important this event is in the biggest car city in the nation. I plan on a proposal to revolution the show and have something for everyone to get excited about. Let’s hope my overhaul works because it’s freaking me out how bad it’s been. We have never been down a dime on any day in 10 years of doing it and we are down thousands so far
