November Updates

Hey 👋 October was a very busy month here at Prospect Labs, looking internally at all our processes. As a startup, you should be asking yourself, ‘How can we reach our 5 year goals in the next 6 months’.

The objective of this is not to find a way to fast-track sales, but more to make sure that what you are building now is scalable and the pain points you will have in the next 5 years can be addressed now. I like to focus on a methodology of growth stacking where every foundation of our marketing is built correctly and can scale before focussing on any new ideas and so we have been working through every area of the business asking ourselves, ‘Is this the best it can possibly be?’.

After a month of testing new softwares and approaches as well as dealing with new LinkedIn restrictions, I am excited to share with you our learnings and what you can apply to your own lead generation approach. Keep hustling and remember that the work you do now will probably have an impact in 3 months time, so every LinkedIn message you send is setting you up for a boost in January.

🎬 LinkedIn’s Secret to Success: How to Use Every Feature for Lead Generation

Wondering What's New in the LinkedIn World?

🎃 We have seen a recent restriction within LinkedIn. Free users may now have limits on personalised connection requests (5-10 per month) and shorter personalised message lengths (200 characters instead of 300). These changes only apply to free LinkedIn accounts but it means that people without Sales Navigator accounts have to be more creative in how they can

If this is you then look into connecting with people who follow your company, like your posts, or attend your events as they will be most likely to connect with you without needing to add a personalised note as they already know you.

🎃 With these increased limitations from LinkedIn, it puts more pressure on you to have an optimised LinkedIn profile. If you make sure you have a great profile picture and tagline, this can have a huge impact on the number of people who accept your connection requests. Have a look at these resources that should help you:

📚 How to optimise your profile

🎃 We have been testing softwares that can transcribe LinkedIn webinars and turn them into e-books. Often the majority of sales will not come directly after you run a LinkedIn webinar, but from the email follow-ups you send to people who register and attend the event. Having a resource such as a high quality ebook linked to the event could be a great way to nurture the leads. We have been looking at designrr.io and so far love the transcribe features as well as all the options to write ebooks for you.

🎃 All work and no play can very easily lead to losing your motivation and energy to push hard for those sales goals. As a team of animal lovers, we also love software that incorporates this, like chat GPT. Try googling ‘cat’ then click on the ‘paw’ icon on the right hand side of the screen. You will be amazed. Also, have a look at cat cat-gpt.com. Basically Chat GPT but every answer is written like you are a cat interacting with cats. Ridiculous but very good fun when you need that little break and a good laugh 😊

If you would like to learn how we can be an extension to your team and help your Startup generate more leads by combining LinkedIn events and outreach, please do get in touch and we would love to have a chat! 🤝
