I know I am late to the party but at least I showed up right?

Creating a newsletter has been on my mind for quite some time. But life gets busy. So what changed and why now?

Well nothing. I am just as busy as I always was. Actually I lied. A couple of big things happened. I got laid off in January. No I don't have anything bad to say about the company. I actually really loved the company and left on good terms. February was the busiest month in terms of resumes. I did over 20 client resumes. The job market has been super tough and I am getting clients who have never had issues in the job search approach me.

After a few weeks I landed a job as a LinkedIn Engagement Specialist at Erudit.ai. I will be working with the company on their LinkedIn strategy, coaching internal employees on LinkedIn, and sharing content through my profile. The company is really cool and uses AI powered internal company analytics to give a snapshot on the company.

Pretty cool right? I love being a part of companies that are working to improve employee well being. I am learning a lot about retention and productivity. (If you would like to introduce this software to your company. Let me know. It would make me look REALLY good).

So I still didn't tell you why I started a newsletter.

I have been accepted into the LinkedIn Podcast Network! It's a collection of podcasts that LinkedIn promotes on various topics. I originally launched my podcast at the end of 2019. I do decent (about 1K downloads per episode) but I still have a long way to go. I am at 145 episodes and have been able to share so many good stories.

My goal is to keep growing the podcast and get more celebrity level guests and well known company CEOs. If any of you can give me intros, I would really appreciate it! The only requirement is that they do not have a college degree. I do make exceptions on a case by case basis (if you got me Arnold Schwarzenegger, I would absolutely make an exception).

As part of the LinkedIn Podcast network, I have to publish a newsletter. So here I am speaking (well I guess writing) to you. Remember this newsletter is for YOU (and maybe a little bit for myself). Please let me know what you want me to focus on.

• Sharing specific candidate insights so that you can get a view of what candidates are going through
• Highlighting updates within the NoDegree space

Highlights

I have finally hit 1,000 followers on TikTok! This gives me the ability to go live. I had the pleasure of going live with ilhan jama and we did a live for over 3 hours! TikTok has a lot of organic growth potential and will be a marketing channel that I focus on.

My Twitter has recently hit 9.5K followers. Twitter is up in the air with all it's changes. I am still very active on the platform but I have to be careful with all the changes since it has killed the user experience.

My LinkedIn is at 40K followers. I have chosen to focus on growing slower and focusing on quality followers. I want to disconnect from 5K-10K users. This will take me months. I would rather have 30K engaged followers as opposed to 50K followers who never engage.

This algorithm is killing me!!! In the past 4 years, I have never been impacted by the algorithm... until now. I will be focused on creating better posts. Better hooks, stories, and all that fun stuff. I aim to put at least 50 comments a day but I am trying to get to 100 daily. It isn't easy. I am so strapped on time. I am typically working from 9:30/10am to 5/6pm and then working on my business until 1-3am. I do take breaks here and there.

I truly appreciate each and one of you who engaged. Whether it's a comment or a like. Everything matters. I am working a lot so I apologize for the lack of networking. I am trying to save up to build cash in my company. More importantly, I am saving up to get married! So every little bit of supports helps.
