NIO Celebrates Production of 500,000 Cars

On May 9, 2024, NIO's 500,000th mass-produced vehicle rolled off the production line at NIO Factory Two (NIO F2) at NeoPark in Hefei, Anhui Province, marking a milestone for the premium battery electric vehicles in China. Han Jun, Party Secretary of Anhui, Wang Qingxian, Deputy Party Secretary and Governor of Anhui, Zhang Hongwen, Member of the Anhui Provincial Standing Committee and Party Secretary of Hefei, Zhang Yunsheng, Deputy Director of the Standing Committee of the Anhui Provincial People's Congress and Party Secretary-General of Anhui, Pan Zhaohui, Secretary-General of Anhui Provincial Government, Luo Yunfeng, Deputy Party Secretary and Mayor of Hefei, Fu Bingfeng, Executive Vice President and Secretary-General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), more than 100 NIO users and employees, including Liu Qingfeng, user of the 500,000th NIO vehicle and Chairman of iFlytek, together with William Li, Founder, Chairman and CEO of NIO, Lihong Qin, Co-Founder and President of NIO, jointly celebrate the production of the 500,000th NIO vehicle.

Founded in November 2014, the global smart EV company NIO has established the full-fledged capabilities for vehicle R&D, design, manufacturing, sales and services. Positioned as a premium battery electric vehicle brand, NIO mass produced its first model, NIO ES8, in 2018. With the 500,000th vehicle rolling off the line, NIO has hit a milestone for the brand elevation of China's automotive companies.

The production of these 500,000 vehicles wouldn't have been possible without the trust of 500,000 NIO users. The 500,000th vehicle is a 2024 ES8. At the ceremony, Liu Qingfeng, the user of this car and also the Chairman of iFlytek, received the car key from William Li. He spoke highly of the All-Nee ES8 and its performance. Naming his ES8 in the stunning Southern Star "Blue Flash", he said, "It's NIO's unwavering strategy and the teams' relentless pursuit of excellence that have made this possible. I'm honored to receive this special car, which is also my first new energy vehicle. I really look forward to the novel experience it will bring."

The production of these 500,000 vehicles also wouldn't have been possible without NIO's continuous R&D investment of more than RMB 43 billion in the past 10 years.
