🎢 Lockdown Two & Keeping Positive

In the last few weeks, it has become clear that the pandemic is going to be a longer-term challenge in our lives than perhaps we had first thought. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Many of us were hoping that once lockdown eased a little that things would continue to return to normal gradually until a vaccine and or better treatments were widely available.🤞

Although we have all had to get used to living in lockdown, the isolation we have had to endure this year is still very unnatural, and this can clearly have a negative impact on how we are feeling. 😞

Quite often, issues relating to mental health only become apparent once they have started to affect our day-to-day life, which is why I feel that introducing small feel-good actions early on is so important. 🧩

Whether it's riding a bike, reading a book, cooking a meal from scratch or having a night in with friends on Zoom, these small activities can do wonders for our mood and self-esteem, which are so crucial at this difficult time. 🚴 💻

Having a positive outlook not only makes these periods of lockdown easier to manage but also ensures our physical health is maintained to a high standard, something we rely on even more during the colder winter months. ❄️

Having a healthy diet, getting regular sleep, communicating with friends and family and making the most of the permitted outdoor exercise have all been identified as effective ways of getting through this current period of isolation. 🍎 🥑 🥦

I've been very fortunate and grateful to have been able to use this time to allow me to remain positive by spending more time at home with the family. I've taken this time and used the advantage to where I live by running, cycling, swimming or walking Henry and utilising this precious time with the family to explore places that shamefully I haven't seen before despite living in West Sussex for 15 years! 🏊‍♂️ ⛰ 🐕‍🦺 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Here are some images of this period.

Happy Friday and keep positive 👊 💙 #neuco #lockdownlife #keeppositive
