A Little Less Chat - More Intelligent Conversation Please

With ChatGPT taking the world by storm, I decided to try it for myself and see what predictions it has for the Conversational AI Market in 2023. Of course, with the popular and most discussed model unable to give me current data, this is the sassy response I received:

“As I mentioned earlier, as an AI language model, I don't have access to real-time market data. However, based on recent market research and forecasts, the global conversational AI market is expected to continue growing in the coming years.”

Wow, thanks Chat GPT, really helpful!

And this, by sheer irony, is one of the stumbling blocks and perhaps also why (according to Gartner) that 90% of the chatbots today will be abandoned by 2025 because they simply fail to give sensible, relevant or accurate advice to consumers. 

Maybe it is time to move away from the chatbot playground and turn the chatter into more meaningful, relevant and informative conversations that provide real business value.

Oh, and to go back to the question of Conversational AI market predictions from the beginning (that couldn’t be answered by Chat GPT) - Gartner research shows the Conversational AI market is expected to grow from $10.7 Billion in 2023 to $29.8 billion by 2028.
