Lean Agile Training Afloat on the Thames? | When Imposter Syndrome Prevents You from Launching Your Ideas - Are They Dead In The Water?

Lean Agile Training afloat on the Thames!

Yes, you heard that right.

I have just launched (pun intended!) a new product, a new business.

Get Trained in Agile Delivery on a Luxury Yacht! Discover How to Give Your Business an Unfair Advantage!

What is it?

I can't believe I'm saying it, but I’m delivering Lean Agile training aboard a luxury yacht in the most prestigious marina in London, St. Katharine Docks, adjacent to the iconic Tower Bridge and the historic Tower of London.

But why?

Why not?

Kaizen Voyage is a Continuous Improvement programme of unique learning experiences, providing a range of Leadership training.

I was always reluctant to try something new, to provide a unique learning experience, for fear of what my peers might say, not how my customers might benefit.

Our Kaizen Learning Paths include Delivery With Agility Leadership, Scrum, Kanban and more.

Our curriculum, developed by Agilistix Academy, our bespoke Cloud Learning Platform, is founded upon Lean Thinking because we have seen that this enables Agile delivery through business agility.

Kaizen Voyage really has been a voyage of discovery for me, quite literally!

Learning Should Be Fun!

If you are a member of one of the 100s of teams that I have been privileged to train and coach, you will know how much I value the importance of teams having fun.

Fun and laughter are important contributors to well-being and stress relief.

When Learners can recall something they have been taught, and when it’s triggered by a fond memory of their learning experience, the more effectively they will apply that learning.

Over the years, I have discovered that the more people can disconnect from their normal working environment whilst training, the more they learn and importantly, the more effectively they can apply those newly learned skills in the workplace.

When Learners recall something they have been taught, and when it's triggered by a memorable learning experience, the more frequently and effectively they will apply that learning.

Imposter Syndrome

Imposter Syndrome is real. Don't let "neigh-sayers" hold you back!

I have been toying with the idea of delivering unique, fun learning experiences, particularly aboard a vessel on the River Thames, for the past seven years.

What held me back?

Quite frankly, me!

Despite great feedback on my ideas from Learners in my conventional classroom training and coaching workshops, I was always reluctant to try something new, to provide a unique learning experience, for fear of what my peers might say, not how my customers might benefit.

How crazy is that?

I am sure many entrepreneurs have these thoughts when starting a business today.

Relaunch - Not Dead in the Water

I have adapted many of our classroom team learning activities for Learner participation aboard a luxury motor yacht, Kaizen Voyager. You will have to join us to find out more.

With 5 years wasted due to battling with my own Imposter Syndrome, followed by a COVID-induced false start in March 2020, all Kaizen Voyage courses were cancelled. Just 2 weeks after launching, we were dead in the water. UK lockdown unavoidably impacted us, as it did with so many other businesses. Delayed by a further 2 years!

So, 7 years later, this is kind of a relaunch.

I’ll be sharing more about Imposter Syndrome in upcoming newsletters and my regular posts, along with other relevant discussions that you have told me you enjoy.

Inspect and Adapt – A Kaizen Journey

The ambience of water-level views, whilst training aboard Kaizen Voyager, together with the relaxing café culture at St. Kats, really helps people to temporarily disconnect from their workplace in order to connect and engage with what they are learning.

I would love to hear what you think about Kaizen Voyage.

I cannot adapt and improve how I serve my customers and LinkedIn followers without your feedback.
