The Influencer List Day 10: Dana Perkins

Happy Friday Eve! And welcome to Day 10 of the 12 Days of Christmas ~ The Influencer List, bringing you 12 influencers who are rewriting the climate change and energy narrative in 2024.

Were in double digits now with this series and nearing the end, and I have to say it has been an honor to feature these people whom I've both followed personally and admired for some time. The brevity of a LinkedIn post can adequately contain the words to describe the incredible work & impact they are contributing to energy & climate action.

And words also cannot describe how thankful I am for the more than 2,400 of you who have subscribed to Valence and are kicking off the new year with us!

Without further ado, let's meet today's influencer (drumroll...)

Day 10: Dana Marie Perkins

Dana Perkins is a standout voice in the energy transition, and, as a fellow podcast host, Dana certainly deserves a spot on this list!

Dana co-hosts weekly conversations about what’s driving energy transition around the globe. Joined by a different BloombergNEF analyst each week, Perkins leads discussions on topics ranging from commodity markets to new energy technologies. Guests share research and insights into the path to a more sustainable energy future. Dana's years of international market development experience has helped her hone the skill of making data and research engaging and easy for their audience to understand, in turn revealing valuable insights behind the data Bloomberg customers (and readers) have come to trust to build their businesses. And when she's not parsing data and rubbing elbows with world leaders at Bloomberg, she has taken the time to join us on our regular Cleantech Podcaster's Roundtable, twice!

Here are a few more reasons you should follow Dana in 2024:

  1. International Experience: With nearly 20 years of experience in the energy sector, and currently based in London, Dana brings a wealth of knowledge and global understanding to her craft. Dana has worked with BloombergNEF for over a decade, currently serving as the Head of Partnerships and Market Development and sharing her knowledge with others as the host of "Switched On" every week.

  2. Clarity: As a podcast host, Dana navigates with ease the complex arenas of transport, energy, sustainability, and policies, with a data-driven approach. She helps ensure that the research from the BNEF team reaches as wide audience and is easy to digest.

  3. Credibility: Dana brings not only her 14 years experience inside one of the largest industry data juggernauts of the world, but her extensive global network to bare when she wants to dig into a topic. She's a regular contributor on LinkedIn, and attends annual forums such as this year's COP28 to provide an insider perspective from leaders around the world.

Dana has demonstrated a strong passion for clean energy, a desire for mentorship, and a deep well of expertise for the multi-faceted energy transition! If you want to follow someone who has an "insider's" perspective on clean tech and energy, follow Dana Perkins and subscribe to Switched On.

We'll be back again tomorrow AND Saturday to round out our 12 Days Of Christmas.

What are your thoughts so far? Have you already been following along with Dana? Drop her a quick shout-out of thanks for the incredible effort she puts into her day job, AND the podcast!
