We hire amazing humans (not robots!) who are able to think creatively, and work collaboratively and autonomously to create their best work.
We’re not looking for a particular type of person - we’re looking for people who can be authentically themselves, and bring something new to the team but can demonstrate our core values (playfulness, holistic thinking, accountability and growth).
You’re probably curious. What does the interview process typically look like?
Step one: First, Apply
This is your time to shine. Show us who you are, what you have done, and what you can do.
Q: How do I make my application stand out?
A: Everyone who applies is given the same time and consideration. But, there are a few things you can do to reflect on why you want to join Six & Flow. Let us know, why do you want to join Six & Flow? Send us your cover letter, portfolio, resume, or video introducing yourself. Show us who you are and what makes you shine.
Q: How long does the recruitment process usually take?
A: From the first interview we try to aim for no longer than 2 weeks! It can vary, depending on people's diaries, but that's the ideal. The longest time is usually between the 2nd and 3rd stage to allow time to prepare for the presentation brief :)
Q: Can I contact people within the team I want to join?
A: If you find the right person, go right ahead. We can’t disclose any personal information, but feel free to send them a LinkedIn message to connect.
Q: What does the interview process look like?
A: This depends on the role you are applying for, but, we do try and provide a pretty structured approach. The goal? To make sure we are the right fit for you, and you’re the right fit for us. After all, it’s a two-way street, and we want you to stay with us for the long term. Once you have submitted your application, you will be contacted if the team has decided to move forward with your application.
Q: Do you have an inclusive hiring process?
A: Yes we do! We are an inclusive employer and diversity and inclusion is very important to us at every stage of the employee journey, starting with how we recruit! Please reach out to the recruitment team to let them know of any additional needs you might have. We’re always happy to help and will try our very best to accommodate your needs.
Q: Who will I meet?
A: Over the course of your interview you’ll be meeting lots of Six & Flow’ers. After all, it’s equally about your chance to get to know the team. Some of the faces you might see include our HR Manager, Office Administrator, your potential Manager, our Director of Strategy, and Managing Director.
Step two: Then, Interview
Show us your sparkle. Don’t be shy, we aren’t actually scary. We too like chatting, laughing, sharing memes, and prosecco.
Q: How many interviews are part of the application process?
A: The interview process consists of 4 steps. This way, you get to meet the lovely faces of lots of people that work at Six & Flow. All of our interviews are relatively informal.
Q: What can I expect in the first round?
A: The first round of interviews will be with our operations team. If you impress them, well you may be in luck…
Q: What can I expect in the second round?
A: In this set of interviews you will meet with your potential manager. Show them what you know and what you can bring to the table.
Q: What can I expect in the third round?
A: It’s time to put the thinking cap on. You will have received a case by now and will be asked to present it to our team. The brief will differ from role to role, but don’t forget, it’s ok to have fun with it!
Q: What can I expect in the fourth round?
A: Wow, you’ve made it this far. You must be pretty exceptional. Now, it’s time for the rest of the team to get to know you…
Step 3: Finally, time for the big decision.
We hope by now you’ve been able to get to know Six & Flow. At this stage, it’s time for both Six & Flow and yourself to reflect. It’s time to make a decision.
Q: When will I hear back after my final interview?
A: We will do our best to contact you within a few days, although this can sometimes take a little longer if multiple candidates are interviewing for the same role. Feel free to follow up after the interview with any questions you may have.
Q: Do you work remotely?
A: We do! If you’re from Manchester, UK, we do have a pretty cool office for you to come into. But, our work is flexible. And we understand that working remotely may be a better fit for you. On top of that, we have staff located in both South America and Canada. As you can imagine, they don’t travel to our Manchester office on the daily.
