How I Make $250K/YR With My Personal Brand on LinkedIn

Money. 

We all…

  • Want it.

  • Need it. 

  • Chase it. 

But what most fail to realise when starting a business is that the pursuit of money will always end in:

  • High anxiety

  • Feelings of inadequacy. 

  • A lack of true motivation. 

And eventually? 

You burn out. 

Not fun. 

So how did I get to $250K ARR with my personal brand in just 7 months? 

There are three parts:

  1. The Purpose

  2. The Problem 

  3. The Product

Let’s break them down into simple frameworks. 


The Purpose

Money is a weak motivator. 

Once you hit a wall that feels too high to climb. 

If money is your only motivation, you will not have the strength to overcome it. 

Instead you need to understand your purpose. 

  1. Japanese call it your “Ikigai” 

  2. Simon Sinek calls it your “Why” 

  3. Guru’s call it your “Life’s Calling”

The title doesn’t matter. 

You need to figure out your purpose in life. 

Here’s how to find it in 3 simple steps:

1) Try a LOT of different things: 

The more you expose yourself to new things, the more you understand what you DON’T like, in order to truly find what you DO. 

Just do what you're most interested in at the time and go all in.

If you don’t like it, or lose interest, that’s okay. It’s not your calling.

Let your heart lead the way.

And remember giving up on something that’s not meant for you isn’t “failing”.

It's new information on what path not to take. 

2) Discover what you like + are good at: 

Now just because you like it, doesn't mean it's your calling.

Just look at all the terrible singers on American Idol. Case closed.

What you need is to like it AND be good at it. There is no other way.

The combination of liking something and being good at it will lead to mastery, and mastery leads to success.  

Because it’s fun and you keep improving?

Your life will feel like a video game. 

3) Become the BEST that you can be at that thing: 

Once you reach mastery, you become 1 of 1, and therefore have no competition.

You fully embrace this as your life’s purpose. You are unique.

It can be a skillset like being a top artist within a niche, or it can be a broader idea like bringing happiness to others, or a combination of both. 

When you get here, you will know it to be your calling by feeling at peace.


The Problem

Once you have a purpose and seek mastery, what you will find are problems that many people face, whether it’s the problems of people on a similar path as you or those who need your services. 

For example you tried 100 different things, decided that content was what you like and are good at, and on the path to mastery, you face a problem: 

“How to continually generate viral ideas for myself and my clients.” 

Now you have a problem to solve that many other people have too. 

You understand that it has value and demand, and if you were to solve it, many people would want to know how you did it. 

Which is when you create…


The Product

The solution is the product. 

When you identify a problem that the market has and desires, and then you solve their problem? They will pay you money. 

Simple as that. 

That’s how the world works. 

People pay you to get the result they desire, because they want to cut out the effort or time it would have taken for them to get there. 

So solve your problem for yourself, then sell the solution to others. 

Now continuing on from the content mastery example problem of:  

“How to continually generate viral ideas for myself and my clients.”

The solution can be at many levels: 

Level 1: Free PDF, Webinar, eBook, Newsletter Email. 

Talk through the high level problems and manual solutions that someone could implement.

Level 2: Paid Books, Masterclasses, Communities

Dig a little deeper into the topics with frameworks to implement and so that the student can go and implement it themselves if they have the time and energy. 

Level 3: Paid Consulting 

Sell your time and provide a personalised solution to your customers/clients based on the solution you’ve discovered so that they can get there faster. 

Level 4: Paid Services 

Clients often want the results, but have no time to do it themselves. They will often pay a premium to engage in your services so that you can solve their problems for them.. 

Level 5: Paid Software/AI 

Once you begin to get clients coming in to solve that problem the bottleneck is your time, and if you expand your team to do the work manually, it also becomes a scaling issue based on human capital. The way to overcome this is to build your solution into a SaaS or AI that customers can access to get the result they need. 

That’s it! My cashflow is coming from product levels 2,3,4 and soon 5 (stay tuned!) 

Where does your Personal Brand come into this?

Building in public is great no matter where you are on your journey. 

This is because it allows you to discover your purpose by talking about everything you like, then seeing what sticks. 

It also gives you direct feedback on what the community has problems with, as they will tell you in your post comments, in polls, in emails and in DMs. 

And once you have a solution? You have a growing customer base ready to purchase. 

That’s exactly what I did over the last 7 months and now making $250K/YR because I built a community with my Personal Brand.

This is a really interesting take on starting a business. So many people get caught up in the money chase, and it sounds like you're saying it can actually backfire.
