A timely The Economist- GlobeScan poll on key geopolitic questions facing the world and shows the strength of liberal democratic ideals and views, even in the face of negative populism around the world. In so many cases, citizens are well ahead of their governments when it comes to geopolitics, which reminds us of that other superpower we sometimes forget, global public opinion! Key findings:
The US election: remarkable support globally for the Democrats in this pivotal election.
Support for Ukraine: the world is supporting Ukraine over Russia in this war by a long shot.
US vs China: American soft power is much more appealing to the world compared to Chinese soft power.
