Honoring our Team this Veterans Day
As we approach #VeteransDay, I’m reflecting on the Target team members who have served, their families and the impact they make on our organization every day. Across our stores, supply chain facilities and HQ offices, they help drive our business forward with their expertise, experience and talents.
Dwight, Jay, Madison and Randy are four of those incredible team members. You can read more about their stories on our corporate site and see how they bring the values they learned in the military to support our team, culture and communities.
At Target, we support military and veteran families year-round. Our annual military appreciation discount, as well as several always-on programs, provide volunteer opportunities, career development and more. I’m thankful for our many partners like the United Service Organizations (USO), who we work with to support military personnel transitioning back to civilian life, and the Veteran Jobs Mission, supporting our ambition to hire more U.S. military veterans. And a special shout out to our Military Business Council (MBC), which is a key part of our commitment – bringing together Target team members with a connection to the military to provide resources and support, such as volunteer programs with @23rd Veteran and Haven for Heroes.
As we look ahead to the season of thanks and giving, I’m so grateful for all of those who help create positive impact within the walls of Target and in the communities where we live and work.
