A Question About Risk:

The differences between recovery and reflation: A recovery economic stage is indicative of strong growth and low inflation. Now, recovery can also be an extended bull market. Generally, low inflation and strong growth causes a bull market in stocks. Reflation basically means strong growth and high inflation - the price of assets is rising, that’s what’s reflating. People often talk about inflation as prices increase and that’s not necessarily the original textbook definition of inflation. Inflation, as you learned in economics 101, is the inflating of the money supply - more money is being printed. Now, inflation has now come to mean higher prices. People should understand there’s two inflationary cycles when we’re in an inflationary period and one is prices rising and the other is asset prices rising.
