Harnessing the Power of Unstructured Data: Salesforce’s Data Vector Cloud Database

Salesforce announced the general availability of Data Vector Cloud Database at the Salesforce World Tour London. It is an unprecedented software solution for unstructured data. But first, what is unstructured data and why is it important?

What is Unstructured Data?

Unstructured data, as the name suggests, can be any data available in an unstructured format, from email, transcripts, and PDFs to audio and video. Though such data cannot be tabulated, it holds immense importance. Why?

Structured data consists of a small portion only of all the interactions with the customer. Important details hidden in the form of unstructured data have not been tapped into so far. For instance, email exchanges with an aggrieved customer reveal the customer's needs and preferences in-depth, without having to rely on expensive and labor-intensive solutions.

With Salesforce’s revolutionary Data Vector Cloud Database, understanding the customer becomes easier by leveraging unstructured data.

What is the Data Vector Cloud Database?

Data Cloud Vector Database harnesses the power of unstructured data by ingesting, storing, and indexing. It then uses the power of generative AI to create embeddings on unstructured data that are indexed in the vector database.

Data Cloud Vector Database in Action

Leveraging unstructured data would help in:

  1. Personalized customer engagement: Customer profiles will be enriched with behavioral data, preferences, and purchase histories, enabling services teams to give customers hyper-personalized care.

  2. Efficiently managing knowledge: The context of data will be known, enabling agents and bots to find the most relevant troubleshooting tips quickly and precisely.

  3. Improving cross-sell and upsell recommendations: AI will be able to suggest intelligent cross-sell and upsell product recommendations to agents.

  4. Proactively resolving issues: Equipment management shall be easier with Asset Health Score helping to fix problems and recommend upgrades.

  5. Improving prospecting: Lead quality improves, and sales teams can focus on the most promising opportunities.

  6. Responding quicker to sales RFPs: Einstein Copilot taps into previous RFPs and other vendor data to provide accurate responses that showcase the vendor’s strengths.

  7. Personalizing outreach: Einstein Copilot taps into the Data Cloud Vector Database to write emails that are personalized for each customer, increasing the chances of closing sales.

Unstructured data that remains largely untapped is made of use with Data Cloud Vector Database.
