Happy 2019 - Dare to live

My godson was still in the kindergarten when he was asked what he wants to become when being grown up. His brilliant answer was: „I don‘t have to become something, I’m already someone!“

I can’t express in words how glad I was about this quote. He already had an insight a lot of humans hardly get in a whole lifetime.

 Some humans like Heath Ledger break because of their unfulfilled lifes. Teachers, marketers and coaches let us believe that we just need to repeat our wish lists like a kind of mantra - making plans, constantly thinking of what you want from life. And eventually you‘ll make it: the perfect career, the perfect car, the perfect relationship. Magazines and other mainstream media only sell an illusion what it means to be ourselves. Reading them leaves most of us as being a failure compared with the photoshopped stars. We’re afraid to be not smart and good enough.

When you say “I want / I need xyz,,,” you’re sending a signal that you’re lacking something. In fact what you need is already inside yourself and waits for approval. But we want to fit into our society and the streamlined pictures of success even at the expense of mediocrity and ignoring our talents and special interests. In the worst case we bully ourselves and shut the doors to the inner self with a big SLAM because we are afraid our real self would not fit into the society we live in.

The easiest way to open the door again is only one foot long and leads from your brain to your heart. Everything that comes from the heart flourishes – everything else vanishes over time.

It’s not about getting into control. Your life just unfolds differently due to your actions are led by your heart. Life goes on more intensely. With more joy, more clarity, more creativity, more vision like a spring of water being uncovered and nourishing the seeds inside ourselves.

If everyone spreads the waters of life and dares to live the own life to the fullest we can achieve a lot as a diverse and wonderful humanity. I would like to encourage you to combine our unique visions and create a social sculpture. A society which already comes up at the horizon with incredibly smart ideas and small projects in every corner of the world. It’s up to us to combine them and spread the word and support those initiatives which resonate with our self.
