Get Rich or Dial Tryin' (HINT: YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING A 2X COST FOR MEETINGS ON THE PHONE)

Did you know that the Dial to Connect Ratio for B2B went up across most major dial providers over the summer by 2X? (meaning it was twice as hard to reach a B2B buyer on the telephone)?

For Outbound B2B lists - went from 35:1 Dial to Connect to 70:1 Dial to Connect for many customers

Inbound lead follow-ups - went from 12:1 to 24:1

So what? What this means is that over the summer (and ongoing for some of these providers) your reps had to dial twice as many prospects as they should have. So if you pay per dial, your cost per meeting just went up by 2X! (So if you are seeing meetings drop like a rock for your SDR/BDR team, and you use a dialer, talk to me, there is a solution!)

How can I determine if this is affecting my company? Run a dial to connect report on the back end of your dialing software. Track it over time (week over week). If you see it spike from May-August, you are not alone.

What changed? #1, it's the summer so dial to connect usually goes up a bit. #2, the algorithms used by the telco companies are getting smarter. When they see a phone number get a high # of reporting SPAM/fraud reported against it, the telco flags the number, just like spam is flagged in email.

What can I do about it? #1 consider an unlimited use dialer! (Yes we can do that). #2 if you are paying per dial, hold your vendor accountable (there are solutions to the problem, ask your provider for help). #3 do a half-day test drive with ScaleX! We have some tricks up our sleeves to keep your dial-to-connect ratio where it should be, and we won't leave you out in the cold!
