FWA: The analysts’ point of view

According to predictions from GSMA Intelligence analysts, 5G FWA is expected to grow 55% in 2024, with 5G making up 61% of all FWA connections by the fourth quarter of the year.

• Extended range: mmWave enables connectivity in remote areas with line of sight. 

• Greater 5G CPE availability: Both indoor and outdoor deployment options have increased, making FWA more practical. 

• Improved deployment flexibility: Broader supply of 5G equipment boosts FWA's relevance and appeal. 

Besides its adoption is still considered slow, it presents a steady growth path, with a forecast of close to a 39% increase in 5G FWA connections by 2026.
