The kind of adoption we are seeing for AI/ML is phenomenal.

I learned in Brussels Microsoft Ignite that it took 16 years for Mobile phones to reach mark of 100 million users. And for ChatGPT it took 3 months. Check out below graph presented in Ignite –

I am 100% sure that with upcoming AI/ML adaption lots of jobs will become obsolete, and if not obsolete then definitely will reduce significantly.

By looking at the trend, I will recommend to equip yourself with one or more of the following technologies -

AI/ML : like Natural Language processing, Knowledge Mining and document intelligence, Computer vision, Decision support, and Generative AI.

Automation: with AI/ML, Automation going to get boost in terms of processing, monitoring, and for large/complex data processing(structured as well as unstructured).

Low code/no code technologies : again with tools like ChatGPT it will become more easy to develop applications.

Quantum Computing: data is required to train AI/ML models, larger the data higher the accuracy, and to process large and complex data definitely high processing power is needed.

Virtual/Augmented reality: the way big companies are spending money on AR/VR indicates a major break through in this area, and with the help of AI/ML future may not be as far as we think

Cyber Security: and as always we cant overlook security. All the possibility what these cutting edge technologies are capable of also require monitoring. Past has shown us many times that how an invention can be misused.
