Smart Energies Raises $94.8 Million for Solar Expansion with Minimum Land Footprint

Smart Energies, a France-based solar power producer, has secured $94.8 million in capital from new investors Plenium Partners (Ecualia Capital) and SWEN Capital Partners (SWEN Impact Fund for Transition), along with existing shareholders. This funding will accelerate the deployment of its photovoltaic (PV) systems across Europe. 

Specialising in mid-scale PV projects on artificialised land, Smart Energies owns and operates over 500 solar sites, totalling over 160 MWp in capacity. Energy Park Secures $44.8 Million Investment from Zouk Capital to Expand EV Charging Solutions

Energy Park, a UK-based electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions provider for apartment buildings, has secured an initial $44.8 million investment from Zouk Capital, manager of the UK Government’s Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund (CIIF), to expand its operations in the UK. The investment addresses the overlooked demand for EV charging infrastructure in communal parking areas of apartment buildings. 

Energy Park plans to offer affordable and reliable EV charging solutions, removing financial and operational barriers for residential landlords and property management companies. candi solar Secures $38 Million to Accelerate Clean Energy Expansion in India and South Africa

candi solar, a Switzerland-based clean energy company specialising in solar power solutions for commercial and industrial clients, has raised $38 million in equity investment led by Norfund, Kyuden International, and STOA. 

Since its inception in 2018, candi solar has focused on distributed energy infrastructure in Asia and Africa, achieving a contracted capacity of 112 MW. Recognised as one of the top rooftop solar developers in India, candi solar serves prominent clients like Airtel and Schneider Electric.

Echion Technologies Raises $36.83 Million in Series B Investment Round

Echion Technologies (Echion), a UK-based developer of niobium-based fast-charging battery materials, has secured $36.83 million in a Series B funding round led by Volta Energy Technologies, with participation from CBMM, BGF, and Cambridge Enterprise Ventures. This investment will support Echion’s go-to-market strategy for its XNO® anode material and opening a 2,000 tonne per year manufacturing facility.

Aether Fuels Secures $34 Million Series A Financing to Advance Sustainable Fuel Production

Aether Fuels, a US-based advanced climate technology company, has raised $34 million in Series A financing led by AP Ventures, with participation from Chevron Technology Ventures, CDP Venture Capital, Zeon Ventures, Xora Innovation, TechEnergy Ventures, Doral Energy-Tech Ventures, Foothill Ventures, and JetBlue Ventures. The funds will accelerate the commercialisation of Aether Aurora™, Aether's proprietary technology for producing sustainable fuels from a wide range of waste carbon feedstocks. Sesame Solar is revolutionising off-grid power with its mobile Nanogrids, which feature rooftop solar panels capable of generating power in 15 minutes and mobile green hydrogen power for continuous energy supply during cloudy conditions.
