As we kick-off the second quarter of 2024, we at 10x1000 Tech for Inclusion are excited to share the impactful initiatives that have taken place this past month. March was a time of celebration, solidarity, and positive strides towards gender equality in the tech industry.

EmpowerHER: A Month of Celebration and Solidarity

This March, we joined hands with the United Nations under the theme "Invest in women: Accelerate progress," recognizing the vital role women play in shaping a brighter future. Our commitment to this cause was reflected in the two insightful webinars we hosted in collaboration with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) and the IDEP - African Institute for Economic Development and Planning. These webinars were a platform for women leaders to share their expertise, experiences, and the value of inclusivity in tech, emphasizing the importance of STEM education, digital literacy, and cross-sector partnerships for empowering women in the fintech landscape. Strategic Alliances: Fostering a More Inclusive Global Community

We are delighted to announce a significant milestone in our journey - a strategic alliance with FINOLAB, a prominent fintech community based in Tokyo. This Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) marks a step forward in our shared vision of an inclusive global community. By combining FINOLAB's expertise with our global learning community, we are poised to cultivate a dynamic ecosystem that nurtures tech talent and fosters economic growth in the digital era.

Community Engagement: Pitch Sessions and Recognition

Our community's vibrancy was on full display with two engaging pitch sessions. The first, co-hosted with Finolab, showcased the achievements of our 10x1000 award winners LINDA PESA (https://www.lindapesa.net/), while the second, held at the SME Finance Forum, featured our esteemed alumnus Hu Yinhan. These sessions were a testament to the power of community and collaboration, offering a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and innovation among entrepreneurs and SMEs.
