Empowering all champions – how local heroes make the difference

Welcome to Tarkett's world of sports: Get ready to dive into our newsletter as we celebrate all the champions of sports – and shine a spotlight on those who typically don't stand on the podium.

Sports play a crucial role in local communities by fostering diversity and inclusivity. The Aspen Institute’s research highlights that more than half of children who participate in sports do so through community-based programs, which emphasizes inclusivity and the importance of these programs in promoting social cohesion.

Let's not forget the architects, sports directors, and facility managers, the unsung heroes who design and maintain these spaces. They may not stand on podiums, but their daily feats support the thriving local sports communities.

Let's empower all champions

Tarkett Sports is a leader in indoor and outdoor sports surfaces. We are committed to enhancing athletic performance, and we are proud to support the behind-the-scenes professionals like architects, installers and sports directors who make it possible for local sports enthusiasts to cross the finish line.

Empowering Dreams Through "Better Tomorrow"

According to the World Health Organization, around 1 billion people live with some form of disability, and access to sports can be limited for many of them. Kayleigh Williamson’s triumph in the New York City Marathon showcased her extraordinary determination as one of the first women with Down Syndrome to complete the prestigious road race. Supported by her family and Tarkett Sports' "Better Tomorrow" program, Kayleigh inspires young athletes with her resilience. We are proud to enhance accessibility and diversity in sports, fostering an inclusive environment for all athletes. See more here.
