Digipool: It does not mean anything what the first job application brings, job or not.

We have seen time and time again here at Digipool when our applicants sometimes end up not writing the work contract with first employer even seemingly looking to be "fit" on the position, this applies many times the youngest applicants. We advice the applicants by phrasing the quote from #jurassicpark, about Raptors: "That's right, but they never attack the same place twice. They were testing the fences for weaknesses, scientifically." The idea is clear, learn by doing, understanding what package employers want to see in that specific position. We advice the applicants to focus on the overall goal of getting hired rather than fixating on a single response from a specific employer. Here are some key points to consider:

  1. Multiple Opportunities: The job market is vast, and there are often multiple opportunities available in various organisations. It's essential not to become discouraged if one particular employer doesn't extend an offer.

  2. Learning from Rejections: Rejections can be valuable learning experiences. They provide an opportunity to reflect on your application, interview performance, and qualifications. Use feedback from rejections to improve and refine your approach.

  3. Persistence: Job searching can be a challenging and sometimes lengthy process. Maintaining persistence and a positive mindset is crucial. Each rejection brings you one step closer to the right opportunity.

  4. Networking: Building a strong professional network can increase your chances of finding job openings and receiving referrals. Networking can lead to valuable connections and job leads that might not be advertised publicly.

  5. Diversify Your Applications: Apply to a variety of positions that align with your skills and career goals. Casting a wider net increases your chances of receiving multiple offers.

  6. Continual Self-Improvement: Focus on continually improving your skills, qualifications, and professional development. This not only enhances your candidacy but also boosts your confidence.

  7. Resilience: Developing resilience in the face of rejection is essential. Rejections are a natural part of the job search process, and resilient individuals bounce back stronger.

  8. Long-Term Perspective: Keep your long-term career goals in mind. Every job search experience contributes to your overall career journey, even if it doesn't lead to immediate employment.

  9. Adaptability: Be open to adjusting your job search strategy based on feedback, market trends, and changing opportunities.

  10. Seek Professional Help: If you find that your job search is not yielding the desired results, consider seeking assistance from career coaches, resume writers, or mentors who can provide guidance and support.

Remember that getting hired is a dynamic process, and it may require persistence, adaptability, and continuous self-improvement. The outcome you desire—the right job offer—is the ultimate goal, and maintaining a results-oriented focus can help you navigate the job search journey effectively.
