Did You Bite Off More Than You Can Chew?

It might feel like that sometimes when you find yourself burned out from your heavy schedule, your big goals, and your side hustles.

Ask me how I know. I just finished a long haul of traveling back to back while also running a side hustle and managing a board of directors for my nonprofit organization. Not to mention, recovering from a shoulder injury and making sure I spend time with my family.

And the list goes on!

It was not until last week that I began to feel a sense of relief! So relieved that I stopped doing things that were making me feel overwhelmed or were just a flat-out distraction!

I get it. You’re working full-time while trying to find your purpose and serve the people you feel called to serve.

It can all seem too much to the extent that you lose sight of what matters the most and have no idea how to get back on track, prioritize, or organize.

But guess what my friend?

You can still find your way out of this. And no, you didn’t bite more than you can chew.

You just need a moment to strategize your life. Not just a single task or goal.

I literally mean to take a moment and pause to strategize your whole life!

The problem is you are all tunnel vision with the things in front of you right now. You are juggling all the things hoping that it will get you what you want: Freedom, A Sense of Purpose, Happiness, YOU NAME IT!

However, when you PAUSE. Take a seat and began to look at what you truly desire in your life, you will find that 50% of what you are doing is just a distraction. Something you are doing to avoid focusing on what you really desire.

The truth is, what we really desire is a little scary:/

Here are three things you can do so you can "get to getting" on what really matters to you:

  1. SAT DOWN- And I do mean "sat down". You get to schedule time for yourself to take a pause for the cause of identifying what you truly desire.
  2. GRAB A JOURNAL AND PEN- You will need this to get things OUT OF YOUR HEAD. It will only drive you nuts to keep your thoughts floating around there!
  3. ANSWER THIS QUESTION- When I look back at my life a year from now, what do I want to be able to say about my life?
