Some fun stats to ponder in the wake of last week’s UK budget:
Britain’s top 100,000 taxpayers (0.3% of all taxpayers) paid 24% of all income and capital gains tax in 2021/22 with an average bill of £559,000 each (call it a million bucks)
The top 100 taxpayers paid an average of £46m each in income and capital gains tax.
The top 1000 taxpayers paid a collective £11.5bn in taxes.

A lot of folks are wildly stressed and indeed the big “buy government 2024” crypto election campaign has a lot of cash riding on continued crypto wonderment to come but in the end, on a wildly busy results day, we thought COIN had good numbers because - y’know - +78.8% total revenue and a lurch from loss to profit… However it seems that was hugely disappointing and thus COIN stock promptly lost 15.34% Friday 1st when the results were published.
