In India: More than 18 million autistic children by conservative estimates: 

In the state of Tamilnadu: around 20 plus Autism early intervention centers opened in the past year with either non-existent children and/or “lost” children due to a lack of results of progress applying proven failure models, copying the West. So, the rising autism numbers are necessitating the opening of “early intervention centers” but the need to get a “disability certificate” and the lack of results with these interventions is driving parents away.

Reality Check: These predictions have already come true with people in Madurai demanding a school for their autistic children submitting petitions to the government authorities and the autism awareness articles coming from this city alone is an eye-opener to the existing autism challenge in Tamilnadu.
