Anti-Bullying Week - How to fight bullying inside a company!

Bullying in the workplace is still a common thing in today’s world. According to Lis Rosling*, in November 2020, ¼ (23%) of British Employees have been bullied at work.

But what is considered bullying? Bullying is considered a behaviour that makes someone feel intimidated or offended. This can happen face to face, by letter, by email, by phone. Some examples of bullying in the workplace include:

·      Spreading malicious rumours

·      Unfair treatment

·      Picking on or regularly undermining someone

·      Denying someone’s training or promotion opportunities

If you feel that this is happening to you the first thing you should do is try to solve the problem internally. Speak with your manager, or if this is the person bullying you, then report it directly to the Human Resources department. If this does not work, you can still make a formal complaint using your employer’s grievance procedure.

At Wirex, we have several policies in order to make sure that this type of behaviour is punishable when it happens. If an employee is considered to be guilty of gross misconduct, the disciplinary procedure will be followed as for any other disciplinary offence. This will include establishing the facts of the case before taking any action, holding a meeting with the employee and allowing the employee the right of appeal. It should be made clear to the employee that dismissal is a possibility. We commit to every employee we hire that

·      Disciplinary cases are dealt with transparency and fairness

·      Potential issues are dealt with fairness and consistent manner

·      Necessary investigation is carried out to establish facts

·      Employees are informed of the basis of the issue and are given the opportunity to put their case forward before any decisions are made

·      Employees are given the opportunity to be accompanied at any formal disciplinary hearings

·      Employees are given the opportunity to appeal against any formal decision made

·      Records are treated with confidentiality

As this week we celebrate the Anti-Bullying week in the UK**, we would like to appeal for kindness. Please make sure you are supportive with your team mates and report to your manager if you or anyone you know is going through this.

I recently had a highly frustrating experience with the Wirex app, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. Initially, I was drawn to Wirex due to its claims of being a neo bank and crypto wallet, offering convenience and security for managing both traditional and digital currencies. However, my experience quickly turned into a nightmare. Upon depositing money, including cryptocurrencies, into my Wirex account, I was bombarded with an overwhelming number of requests for documents regarding the source of funds and income. While I understand the importance of verifying transactions to prevent fraudulent activities, the extent to which Wirex demanded this information was excessive and intrusive. 😑  Read more : https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/frustrating-experience-wirex-beware-excessive-document-ali-roghani-dpfse @wirex #cryptoexchange #cryptocurrency #crypto #scams #fraud #fintech #banks #fca #neobanks #bitcoin #investing #ethereum #wallets #cryptowallet #finance #trading #forex #exchange #emoney #wirex #wirexapp
