Another year of

To our trusted friends and partners, 

2021 was a year full of impact. The world was left reeling from 2020’s uncertainty and we all desperately tried to catch up and adjust for our new definition of normal. At DSA, we used this as a catalyst to push towards our ultimate goal; positively impacting the world to benefit future generations. In short, we advanced on our mantra of making 1+1 equal 11. 

What we saw was not just a year of impact, but a chance for positive impact as our goal suggests. We felt it was our charge to reflect positive impact in what we say, and (perhaps more importantly), in our actions.  

We have grown beyond our general asset management roots and are now fully committed to global impact investing, working with partners to help fortify goals like the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals as well as our own. We clearly defined what kind of partners we want to associate and work with within our framework; companies that address basic human needs using today’s most lucrative asset — technology. 

With the types of collaborations identified, our relationships flourished. We supported educational pioneers like Section4 in providing scholarships, investing in health and wellness visionaries like MindMics, supporting infrastructure go-getters like Sacred Groves, and invested in data, analytics, and energy-focused leaders like Smart Energy Water to name a few.  

The global social gaming market surprised everyone in 2020 and we began considering relevant presence while staying true to our 1 + 1 = 11 philosophy leading us to Betswap.gg.  Estimated to reach $36.7B by 2024 with a compound annual growth rate of 15.2% from 2016 to 2024 capturing the attention of 3.4B global gamers; Betswapp’s decentralized platform brought DSA into the world of crypto. 

DSA is also hard at work developing something of our own to amplify the environment, social, and governance data and analytics experience in 2022. This is a very important initiative and one that is very close to the entire team and we look forward to making this public in the very near future. 

Internally, we devised and published a culture code to keep track of and ensure our entire team is on the same page. The nucleus of this code is our commitment to do right by the companies have the privilege to work with; which is why finding organizations aligned with solutions for human needs is so critical. 

As we reflect on 2021 and smile at all the good that came from this force of impact, we also look ahead to 2022 with excitement and optimism in a climate that certainly needs both. DSA will continue to focus on positive impact, as well as fully bringing in the power of data to drive even more force, validity, and business gains for our partners and the world.
